3 BFCM Creatives to Make This Week
Estimated reading time: 4 minutes, 20 seconds.
Another week, another three ad creatives to break down for you. Since we’re getting closer to BFCM, I think giving you some last-minute creative ideas is fitting. So today, all creatives are BFCM-themed.
We’re also going to be talking about;
How to make a great gifting video
The simple ad creative that might help you win BFCM
An easy creative concept to make this week
So let’s get started.
Govee
The gifting angle: If you don’t have at least one of these running for BFCM, there is truly no hope for you. These are the easiest win.
Statista says that 60% of Black Friday shoppers are looking for Christmas presents for friends and family, so can you see why gifting angles are such an easy win? You are planting the seed in the customer’s mind that your product is the perfect gift.
That’s what we did with this UGC video for Govee. Our entire hook is based around the feeling and idea of giving someone their product as a gift—we even filmed it from the POV to further sell the idea.
All you need to do is write a script about giving a loved one your product during the holidays and then combine it with a Black Friday offer CTA at the end. Happy days.
If you happen to run a DTC brand and are short of a consistent flow of performance ad creative, then it might be worth us having a chat. Our creatives have spent over $300m across our client’s accounts, so you’ll be in safe hands. Apply to work with us here.
TLDR;
Make a gifting ad this week!
People are buying for others in Q4, so advertise that way.

Hey Harper
You should all know by now how much of a fan I am of simple ad creative that gives brands easy wins. So that’ll explain why I love this one from Hey Harper.
It’s a montage of nicely composed and lit shots of their product, with a nice voiceover and very on-brand animated copy. You could take any frame of this video and use it as a static image; that’s how simple it is.
But it works because it’s just there to remind people who they are and make them aware of a sale. It could bring back old customers but also win those lurkers who have been wanting to buy for a while. Here’s some facts for you;
So, make ads that hit all those targets and lead with your offer to win the customer faster.
TLDR;
Most people just want to know your offer
Showcase your product in a nice-looking video to remind people who you are

Lucyd
Give this video a watch before you read it because otherwise, it will make no sense.
This creative showcases how Lucyd smart glasses work. You can have hands-free phone calls with no headphones. We get that. But I kind of love this angle idea and think it could work away from the Lucyd use case. You could have a creator on the phone or with AirPods telling the person on the other end about your product. Then, just like she does in the video, mention the Black Friday sale and how it’s a great chance to get the product to try.
I don’t think I’ve seen a UGC video do that, so it might be a nice idea to make it quickly before the big day! If you don’t, then I will.
Remember, though, for ads like this, keep them pretty raw. Use a low amount of editing, simple captions, and cuts. Otherwise, you’ll just make it look cheesy, and it won’t have the same effect.
TLDR;
This is an easy angle that can work for any brand or product
The best UGC ads are those that don’t feel like ads
