How to make more people buy your product

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes, 9 seconds.

Hey! How you doing? (Said like Joey from friends) Final proper issue of 2024 today. Next week, we’ll have a Nice Ads wrapped written by one of my producers at Fraggell - So shall we get moving? In this week’s issue we’ll dive into:

  • Dealing with customer objections

  • Creating repeatable static frameworks

  • How to launch a new product

Quick one before we move on - Fraggell (My performance creative agency) is taking bookings for Q1 - We have a few spots left. So, if you want high-converting ad creative that lowers your average CPA by 30% 👇

LEAF Shave

Let’s talk about objections - No doubt your potential customers have a reason why they aren’t currently your customers. In e-commerce, we must understand the reason. Because you can bet that, there’ll be many others feeling the same - Once we have this information, we can start to address it inside our ad creative.

When we started working with Leaf, we looked at what the internet was saying about them, and it turns out people didn’t understand the difference between their razor and the cheap plastic thing they’ve used since they were 16. So, in response, we made this incredible video. Demonstrating the difference, all while exposing the razor industry - This is a 10/10 video (If I say so myself).

It stands out from the UGC noise on the social feed and clearly demos why Leaf is the best way to shave. But want to know the best part? You can have ads just like this. You just need to see if you qualify here. 2025 is going to hold a lot of change, so be ready with a good partner.

Unbloat

I was scrolling down my Instagram feed last week when I saw this—it was an instant save. I’ve never seen anything like it. It's such a simple idea but it's still eye-catching and informative.

It ticks all the boxes for a static

  • Educates us on the product

  • Displays social proof

  • Catches your eye

Let’s be honest; almost all statics for supplements look the same. The product in the middle, a fancy headline and then callouts around it telling us the USPs - Boring 😴

So if you can do something like this, you’ll stand out. Because you aren’t just pumping out the same ads over and over. PLUS, formats like this are super easy to test messaging with; replace the ‘Big puffy stomach’ with something else and see how the customer responds. You can crank out 10 of these in 30 minutes with ease.

TLDR:

  • Look for repeatable easy to test formats

  • Do something different to standout in 2025

Nood

When you release a new product, What does your strategy look like? I’m guessing some UGC videos and a couple of statistics, right? Well, Nood just gave us a masterclass on launching a new range.

Get your founder to speak honestly about WHY you’ve decided to create this new product. Because who else is more fitting? No one.

When Apple brings out a new iPhone, they hold a massive event where the CEO talks in-depth about how much of a step forward this technology is and how we should all care about the camera having two more megapixels. But do DTC brands ever do this? No. They just launch.

So instead, do what Nood have done - Make an event of it. Get the person behind the product to speak about how it was developed and why it was even needed in the first place.

This should be something on your to-do list for 2025 product drops.

TLDR:

  • When you launch something new, make a big deal!

  • Use your founder for more than just founder ads.

Well, that’s your lot for me in 2024 - it’s been a real pleasure. Thank you for sticking around all year and being a part of this great community.
