Hello there - Hannah here to give you a Nice Ads rundown for the year. We’ve seen some amazing ads in 2024, here’s some of the best!

Ritual
Back in October we spotted this ad and it’s been in our mind ever since! We’ve seen a massive shift in UGC content. Most UGC ads you see on your feed follow the same formula, meaning it blends into the background. Breaking through the noise means doing something different to stand out - so of course a talking ovary would do the trick.
Capturing the viewers attention should be one of your first priorities when creating ads. That’s why, at Fraggell, we put such importance on your hook. Because it’s often the only chance you have at getting the viewer to watch.
And as Fraser mentioned a couple of months ago, even if it doesn’t pay off, trying something different is always worth a go. You can always learn from it even if it fails. In 2025 we should see more of this - get thinking of a video idea that will stop everyone in their tracks!

We reported on this back in the summer, and I think this ad from DASH still stands. Taste test creative is huge - your consumer can describe the product at its best, and people will resonate with a personal review given by someone or a family in this case!
Now, this does lie heavily on an engaging UGC creator, along with authentic reactions from everyone in the video. In this example, we see all ages tasting the DASH cans, adding variety to the ad while proving it is a great hit for every generation.
One of our clients, ALOHA, has had huge success with UGC creators just sitting down and trying their sample pack. The audience can engage and receive information on which flavour they would try based on the creator’s description. It's so simple yet so effective.

The impact of static ads couldn’t be forgotten in our 2024 roundup. This year we’ve seen some amazing statics circulate, and this one in particular caught our eye. Yes the very cute dog plays into it, but I think marketers could take huge inspiration from one part in particular…
The copy. Having an emotional response to your ad will always outdo anything else. Comedy and fear are probably the two most significant factors considered when doing this - wuffes have focused on the latter. As a pet owner, reading “don’t cut their life short” adds a shock factor. This instantly pulls them in and creates a need for your product.
It’s simple but incredibly powerful. And this is something you could create now. Take a static, put your brains together to think of a cutting headline and start testing now.
