This is the UGC you should be making in 2025

Hey Nice Ads team! Another week is ahead of us, and as always, I’ve selected three creatives I love and want to share with you.

This week we’re covering:

  • The future of UGC

  • The recipe for the perfect static

  • How to make your ads feel real

Before we move on Fraggell (My performance creative agency) has opened up some capacity. In fact, we have one spot left for Q1. So if you want to lower your CPA by 30% and diversity your ad creative then…

Aloha

2025 is the year we see a shift in UGC. I honestly don’t think the typical content we’ve been seeing for so long won’t perform anymore - In fact, we’ve already seen a decline in the accounts we work with.

So, if you want to get ahead of the change, you need to start making UGC that fits into what people are already costuming. Like this video, we made in the summer for Aloha.

It’s just a husband and wife having fun on the lake and eating Aloha bars. You would see this kinda video on TikTok (When it’s not banned). No hard sales pitch. No list of USPs, just some native text overlays with great footage.

That leads me to my next point - GO TO THE EFFORT. Stop getting your creator to sit in a living room and read a script. Pay them more (Or work with an agency) and get them to go out and do something, switch up the location. Have fun with it!

This was a great performer for Aloha last year and is still running now with a 60% lower CPA than average. I can see us making more content like this in 2025. Want us to make it for you? Click here.

Whether TikTok stays or goes, you'll walk away with an actionable game plan.

I bloody love a Jambys ad. These guys know how to make statics that look good and convert.

I always say this but most brands are overthinking their static ads, so here is the recipe we use at Fraggell:

  • A great image that either shows the product in use or catches the eye

  • Headline copy that educates, calls out the demographic or gets a giggle

  • Either a review, benefit copy or a subheading to help further target your ad

Almost every single static we make has those things. So keep it simple, and don’t let those super fancy statics you see on Linkedin get you down. It’s all about performance.

TLDR:

  • Statics should be easy to make, so stop making it harder for yourself

  • Your image does half the work on a good static

Following on from the Aloha video I showed at the start - This is another excellent example of where UGC is heading. This street interview is casual, none sales and feels real.

Watching it reminds me of those old YouTube street interview videos you used to see about 7 years ago—just a random guy talking about something and tasting a product with a live reaction.

It fits into the feed we already consume. And if it hits the right target audience, then they’ll end up watching it, and before you know it, they’ve clicked on your website.

Make ads that are good enough that people WANT to watch them. That's the secret sauce.

TLDR:

  • Make ads people want to watch

  • Get outside and film
