Welcome back to Nice Ads! If you're new around here, every week I break down the creative strategy behind three ad creatives. This week, we're going to be learning:
How to fake organic interactions.
Why product demo ads are so effective.
The easiest static that you can make this week.
If you're planning for Q4 and need help with ad creative, I'd love to help lower your CPA by an average of 30% with my creative agency, Fraggell. You can click here to apply.

Ossa Organic

This is a creative that we recently made for a bone broth brand. The concept behind it was to educate people on how bone broth can help their skin and overall health. We wanted to do that in a fun and organic way to help attract top-of-the-funnel customers to the brand.
We scripted out this organic interaction between a delivery driver and the homeowner as if it were filmed on a home security camera.
We tested out a couple of different hooks, but this one is probably my favourite because it feels much more organic with the reaction video and captions on screen. It feels like something that you'd see on your TikTok feed.
This ad has only just recently launched, so I'm actually waiting to see how it performs. I'm hoping that it manages to break through and attract some new customers.
To pull off ads like this, you simply need good creators. There are numerous ways to do this. Our preferred method is to use Backstage or Star Now to cast actors with experience in UGC. They're the best at taking direction, and UGC has become so popular now that most people on the platform have a history in this format.

Groomify

I've been getting this brand's ad delivered to me pretty much every single day for the past month, and I wanted to break down one that I recently saved.
It's clear that this is becoming a very popular dropshipping product because every ad that I do get is from a different store. However, they are all using the same tactics to convert customers - that is the product demo.
If you have a product that does something impressive and you can show that on camera, that is the best way to convert a customer. I call this ad the Temu ad because, if you take a look at Temu's ad account, it is filled with them.
Super straightforward videos of the product in use, showing both before and after. Works like absolute magic.
You could very easily over-complicate this style of ad with a UGC testimonial of someone saying how different it is to all the other products on the market. But at the end of the day, if the product shows the results you can get by using it, there isn't really much else to say.
They even provide a side-by-side comparison of other products that people might use to achieve the same goal, clearly demonstrating that their product is the superior alternative.
There's a reason why this format has never changed, and it's because it works.
TLDR:
Keep your video ads simple if the magic is in the product demo.
Lead with results. Always.

The Black Stuff

This is actually another ad that we made at Fraggell. It took me about five minutes to create. And it's scaling pretty well in the ad account.
All I did was take advantage of a new feature inside Reddit called Reddit Answers. This allows you to leverage their AI to search the entire website and retrieve exactly what you want. In this case, I wanted to hear people's thoughts on The Black Stuff.
I went to Reddit answers and I searched, "What do people think about the black stuff soap?"
It provided me with a list of results, each with a direct link to the subreddit where these posts were located. All I did was find one that speaks highly of the product and print-screened it.
It could be one of the simplest stats I've ever made, but it contains so much social proof.
How many times have you Googled something and put Reddit at the end because you trust that it is a place where you will get honest, unfiltered opinions?
When the scroller sees this ad on their feed, they recognise the Reddit interface. And when they read the post and what it says about the brand, they trust it way more than a designed testimonial static ad.
It's simple sales psychology, just taken to a new level.
Honestly, go and try this out right now. Launch an add-in to your account and see how it works.
TLDR:
Your customers are already speaking about you, so use that as ad creative.
Don't over-complicate your static ads.
